Brought up in Leyland, Lancashire, Chris trained for the Congregational ministry at Bala Bangor Independent College. He served churches in Lancashire, Essex and London before coming to Bedford in 2005.

Chris says: "I long to see the church grow; I want to see it transformed into one that is equipped to minister to 21st century society, engaged with mission and outreach, communicating to young people, and providing new ways of worship."

In his spare time, Chris enjoys bookbinding and book conservation work. His other interests include gardening, cooking, music, history, and being with friends, and he feels greatly privileged to be serving as minister at Bunyan Meeting.

Peter was born and educated in Wales. He attended University College, Cardiff and Cardiff Baptist College and was ordained to the Baptist ministry in 1962. He served churches in Swansea and Penarth before moving to London in 1973. Then in 1985 he became minister of Bunyan Meeting where he remained until he retired in 2005. In retirement Peter continues his ministry in a Local Ecumenical Partnership (Anglican/Baptist) in Thurleigh, north Bedfordshire. He is married to Cherry who remains a Trustee of Bunyan Meeting.

In September 2012 Peter celebrated the fiftieth anniversary his ordination to the Christian ministry. In recognition of this and to mark Peter’s long years of service to Bunyan Meeting, the church meeting invited Peter to accept the title of “Minister Emeritus of Bunyan Meeting”.

David grew up in a Christian family in the village of Redbourn in Hertfordshire. Following his education in schools in Redbourn, Harpenden and St Albans, David honed his artistic talents at St Albans School of Art and Twickenham College of Technology. Graphic design in the commercial sector led to him specialising in producing design materials for Christian and Developmental agencies.

Feeling a call to greater involvement in Christian outreach, David studied for three years with the St Albans Diocesan Ministerial Training Scheme. Immediately following the completion of this course, David had an opportunity to help co-ordinate a worship seminar in Tanzania, East Africa and he felt a strong call by God to use his creative skills for a longer period with the Anglican Church in Africa. David was eventually supported by the missionary society USPG to work in partnership with the Diocese of Mpwapwa in Tanzania for eight years, encouraging the use of drama and music among the rural community there.

On his return to the UK, David was invited to become the Pastoral Assistant at St Paul’s Church here in Bedford. David has served with this church community for over ten years, and has relished the ministerial opportunities offered by this town-centre parish.

David is excited to be joining all at Bunyan Meeting to create an attractive Arts Project in the newly renovated basement area of the building, and establishing workshops and an exhibition area reaching out into the Castle Quarter of Bedford.
