OTHER THINGS TO DO

We recommend you allow between 30 and 90 minutes for your visit. This will leave time to explore other aspects of Bedford’s lovely river front and Cultural Quarter.

Just two minutes’ walk away you’ll find The Panacea Museum (open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday recommended time to allow 30 to 60 minutes) and The Higgins (open daily, recommended time to allow 1.5 to 3 hours).

Also just 2 minutes away is Castle Gardens, where you can see the impressive mound, which is all that remains of Bedford’s large medieval castle. Across the River Great Ouse is a rowing club and visiting boats and water birds also provide animation. Why not book a trip along it on the John Bunyan Boat .

The Bedford area also hosts many internationally famous venues: Cowper and Newton Museum at Olney; Shuttleworth Collection - an aeronautical and automotive museum; Woburn Abbey; ZSL Whipsnade Zoo; Bletchley Park; and of course Bedford has easy access to Cambridge, Oxford and London.

Safeguarding at Bunyan Meeting is an essential part in the life and all activities undertaken by the Church and within church premises. We are currently in the process of reviewing our policies and procedures, in consultation with colleagues from the different denominations, and will be posting new information on an ongoing basis.
