Summer may be over but there is still lots to do at John Bunyan Museum
This summer’s ‘Crafty Thursdays’ saw 65 children and 49 adults taking part in craft-based activities over the five sessions. The ‘Wonderful Wednesdays’ led by artist Anne-Marie Stijelja as part of our Bunyan Inspired project welcomed 41 children and 29 adults to the four art-based sessions, and a number of the Youth Inspired students were on hand to help out.
On Saturday 6th October we will be taking part in ‘Fun Palaces’ – a festival celebrating art and science. There will be a trail around the museum, Game making with Anne-Marie and we will be hosting drone flying and car model making.
The museum will open as usual to include the half-term holiday at the end of the month, and will also stay fully open during the museum’s exhibition ‘Risk Takers and History Makers- Four women of Bedford’. The exhibition will display art work created by schools that have worked with us during the year, and take place in the Basement at Bunyan and the Panacea Museum.
The exhibition runs from Tuesday 23rd October to Saturday 3rd November and is the finale of the Heritage Lottery Funded project of the same name in partnership with Bedford Chronicles and the Panacea Museum.
