Calling new volunteers!

Join us for a Tour and Chat at Bunyan Meeting and explore our volunteering opportunities on Saturday 18th March at 10:30am.

If you are looking for a volunteering or work experience opportunity in Bedford, then Bunyan Meeting could be the place for you!

Much of the work done at Bunyan Meeting is done by volunteers: from the Church Coffee Shop to the Museum front desk, many of the faces you see are those of our wonderful volunteers. We could not open our doors to the public without them.

There’s also a lot to do behind the scenes. The museum's collection team always have projects underway, including preparation work for upcoming exhibitions; our education and tour teams often get fully booked to run guided visits and host holiday activities; and of course, these events wouldn’t be successful without our marketing and administrative teams.

We are looking for new recruits who are keen to help open the Church, Museum, and Basement Gallery to the world and share the experiences Bunyan Meeting has to offer. There are a wide variety of roles to take part in across Bunyan Meeting, and you can join as many as you like.

Time commitments vary from role-to-role, starting from a few hours a fortnight to, perhaps, a couple of half days a week. We welcome volunteer applicants from all backgrounds and faiths and will discuss with you what would best suit you to ensure your volunteering experience is as enjoyable as possible.

We hope to hear from you soon!
